Kecia Fox with a big smile as she massages the back of a patient who is laying face down on treatment table

Kecia Fox, MSOM, LAc

Hello, my name is Kecia (pronounced Key-sha, she/her)

My journey with healthcare began in my early 20s when I developed unexplained abdominal pains, debilitating migraines and menstrual irregularities. According to tests and exams, I was a picture of health, but it didn’t feel that way. It was then my MD referred me to my very first acupuncturist.

My acupuncturist took a deep dive into my story and life stressors at the time because she understood the impact stress has on the body. Up until this point, I had either ignored my symptoms, or viewed them as an attack, ultimately making things worse. Over time she helped me notice and respond to the cues my body was sending me, transforming my perspective on health.

That isn't to say everything was better with one acupuncture treatment. My acupuncturist worked with me on long term lifestyle changes and an herbal plan to balance my hormones and nourish my nervous system. With her support, I was no longer drained by daily stomach pain, my menstrual cycle normalized and my migraines had gone from multiple times a month to a couple times a year.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine has been life changing for me. Not just because it reduced or eliminated my symptoms but because it empowered me in my health and gave me a toolkit to lean on in times of flare up and emotional strain.

Wanting to share this medicine with others, I earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and then completed a four year Master of Science in Oriental Medicine program from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), the most comprehensive training in Classical Chinese Medicine in the United States.

We don't have to do wellness alone. I know what it's like to have all the tests show that “nothing is wrong” and yet you still feel unwell. I practice this medicine because it listens to every aspect of your being. There is no symptom that is unimportant, because everything in the body is connected. Its my honor to find what these connections are for you, so you can feel well again too.
